The difference between impulse, compulsion and obsession are:

An impulse is when you see a can on the ground you think of kicking it.

A compulsion is when you see a can on the ground you kick it without thinking. 

An obsession is where you search all over town for cans to kick.

A female newcomer was doing her fourth step and about to begin her sex list. Her sponsor told her to go home and read page 69 in the Big Book.

The new woman, still a bit confused, mistakenly read page 96 ............................
