Hi My name is Missy and I'm an alcoholic..I do realize this is the first step and I have to stop fooling myself...I am almost forty years of age and I don't want to have alcohol be my crutch and on top of that I'm tired of embarassing myself by becoming sloppy drunk...Its not me, I'm smarter than that..I want to show respect for myself.. I want to learn the prayer and commit to quitting drinking altogether, I have tried in the past and failed..I do know it is one day at a time.. Where do I start? My family is in denial as usual...

Hello, my name is Tawny and I am an alcoholic (binge drinker). My husband and I went out for a friends birthday party last night, we always say we are only going to stay for an hour but we end up drinking all night long. I decided that I need to support to quit drinking and I want to live a sober life. I know it's not going to be easy so I could use all the help!

Relapse for one day/ need women sisters

Hello my name is Delilah and my sober date is December 3,2009 I am an alcoholic addict. Well yesterday I relapsed with two bottles 32.0z. of Bud Ice. Oigod the first bottle I drank with fear, and sure enough I drank number two. Old behavior kicked in and I was drunk. Spinning and vomiting. I am so ashamed for taking the first drink and now know what relapse means and why I cannot drink social today. Today I cannot even smell beer or even listen to a can open. I can smell the beer in my nose and I get backflash.I am disappointed because I have to start all over with sobriety and I almost had ninety days to get another chip. I need new women friends to talk to.

Hi my name is Jamie, I live in west palm beach fl!!! I did alot of wreckage here and I am also cleaning up here all in the same town! I got a sponsor that has a sponsor!! I take suggestions and my recovery comes FIRST!! I joined a group and I stay active in it!! I also take commitments and I chair and I speak and I also bring meetings into Detox and carry the message!!! MY life today is so much better!! smilies/smiley.gif I know if i keep doing what I am doing the chances of me picking up are slim ( THANK GOD!!)

i m a musician from portugal.35 years old and living in barcelona.and very afraid .allways had problems with allcohol but it s so hard to run from it when all your friends drink to much ,and when you work as a dj or musican.
fealling lonelly.whenever i stop drinking ,i feal like my head is going to blow.does this make any sense?

my name is nicky i am an alocoholic an addict. i thought they were nuts preaching. i walked the walk for my family and my daughter when i was 25 and she was 5 now after being back out for 5yrs she lives with her uncle and aunt. i lov e her with all my hart but i do this for me. i want to see her grad. She calls me to tell me shes proud of what im doing. Its not a Me program its a we. if that made any sence. sorry if it didnt

hi my name is cassandra and i am 22 years old i have a 2 yaer old son and i have been in a a for over a year and i relapsed not that long ago. before i relapsed i did not get involved with the people in a a and i see that now and want to get involved so please help me get involved with becoming my friend
